Privacy Policy

Last updated: Oct 2025

Scope

This policy explains how AI Coder handles data, device permissions, supported integrations, and user rights. The app is designed for adult individual developers and does not target children or minors.

On-device data & syncing

Projects and files remain on your device by default. You may export or sync through the system file browser, Git export, or other services you explicitly enable. We never access files outside the directories you select. Local caches are stored in the app sandbox and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

Device permissions

  • Files & Folders: required to open and manage the project directories you choose through the iOS/iPadOS document picker.
  • File Provider: optional. Enables third-party storage (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, etc.) you explicitly connect.
  • Photos: optional. Allows importing screenshots or UI mockups to projects or AI context.

Third-party AI providers

When you configure a provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Groq), prompts and code snippets you send to the AI assistant are transmitted directly to that provider over HTTPS. API keys are stored in Apple Keychain. Each provider’s use of your data is governed by its own privacy policy. You can remove a provider at any time in Settings.

Analytics & diagnostics

We collect anonymized usage metrics (session counts, feature interaction, crash logs) using Apple and privacy-friendly analytics to improve stability. No personal code content or prompts are included. You can disable analytics using iOS settings for tracking.

In-app review prompts

We may request ratings using Apple’s SKStoreReviewController after certain milestones (for example, the 5th and 50th launches). Apple controls the frequency and whether the dialog appears.

Your rights

You can delete local projects from within the app, revoke permissions using iOS/iPadOS Settings, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored data. For AI providers you configure, please contact them directly regarding their data handling practices.
